Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This position reports directly to the Financial Controller and offers hands-on exposure to full-cycle accounting, SaaS revenue management, and cross-border operations. The role starts as an internship or entry-level position, with a clear path toward permanent full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform basic bookkeeping: review and attach supporting documentation to invoices and expenses
- Assist reconciliation on SaaS income and operator payout schedules
- Prepare inventory reconciliation and subledger reports
- Post journal entries in the accounting system
- Prepare and perform bank reconciliations
- Support monthly closing and reconciliation activities
- Assist with HST and US state sales tax reconciliations & filings
- Perform AP & AR reconciliations
- Support the annual financial audit process
- Carry out ad hoc accounting and administrative duties as required
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Currently pursuing or planning to pursue CPA designation (asset)
- 1+ year of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred (co-op or internship acceptable)
- Experienced in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc)
- Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) or other ERP/accounting software is an asset
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation
